Flannel prints were 50% off at Joann's and I saw two prints that I really liked.

I pictured this as sort of lounge and nightwear, from the colours that I picked out. And I had the brilliant (/s) idea to combine them into one garment. So I could do either depending on the situation.

I initially considered having the breast pocket on either side be the opposite fabric. But the colours do not go together that well, so I opted to just have all one colour per side.
Update photo showing how garment looked before sewing on the cuffs and placket.

I also struggled a lot trying to attach the cuff. It would not line up, slip, and just be all around frustrating to work with.
After an hour of struggling with the cuffs, I finally got them pined to a satisfactory amount that I sewed them together.
I learned a lot from trying to modify the pattern that I was using. I learned how to think more three dimensionally, the significant of different sides of fabric, how to hide seams, and how to better pin for the sewing machine.
I also learned the pros and cons in having a precut pattern. I did not measure out anything and strictly stuck to the pattern. And so the sleeves ended up a lot shorter than what I wanted while the torso height feels too tall for me. The cuffs are also outrageously big and get caught on everything.
But overall, I am satisfied with the outcome and the learning opportunities this project gave me.
