Brief: Design a set of frames that capture the essence of this song.
Song by: Riot Games Music
Creator: Xavier Gaudette
This song is From Arcane S2E7 where the characters are in an alternate universe.
This song is about new beginnings, not being afraid to try, and that we’re not always in control.
But within this randomness are also patterns and repetition that emerge in both this piece and in life.

Styleframes
This concept will represent these themes of perseverance through a planetarium. The universe is larger than we can comprehend, but a planetarium juxtaposes this by placing it into a more human scale.
Orrery's are astrological tools for tracking how things orbit in space over time.

"Go spin the wheel..."
Slow push in as things being to 'wake up'
Scene opens on a still machine. The sun turns on and things start to orbit it.

"... when the war quiets down... "
Orbit, left to right, looking slightly down on a Yin Yang, that is slowly spinning clockwise.
Good and bad are intertwined. Don't dwell in the past when you can continue moving.

"Wait 'til your brothers... "
Closeup orbit, over the green planet. Grass is sprouting as the sunlight touches it.
Nature is beautiful, the things that grow are temporary, but always come back.

"Just turn that hourglass around... "
Camera pans over to a time-turner looking device. Inside we can see an hourglass, but not how much time is passing.
Time runs out on things. But don't dwell on that, look towards what can happen next.

"friends... Whoa-oh-oh, oh..."
Cut to: The sun flares a couple times and little light particles fly out of it.

"Whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh... "
The particles light up each of the lamps as they reach their highest position.

"Go and make some mistakes... "
Pedestal down the water-world. We see fish swimming around, going with the flow.
'Go with the flow'

"Let 'em turn"
Mirror the opening scene by pulling out as the final bits of foliage grows around the still spinning orrery.
Things change, life moves on; So should we.
There would be a couple other scenes between the last two frames where we see the machine seize for a moment.
The sudden stop makes water and bits of foliage fall onto the environment.
They start to grow on the surface of the machine, getting in its way as it continues to move.
They start to grow on the surface of the machine, getting in its way as it continues to move.

Composite Mockups
It was initially a more fantasy based planetarium design with floating rings that orbit around a freestanding Sun. But an orrery provides a more grounded and realistic approach to the process, to make the place feel like a human could be standing in it.
Review
This is one of my first attempts at working in 3D. The concept is all about uninterrupted continuation, and 3D lends itself very well to that.
I am quite a bit more familiar with the workspace of C4D, I still need more practice with all the functions it offers. I learned a lot about parenting, how it differs from AE, and the power of null objects.
I want to improve on understanding C4D materials, creating atmosphere, lighting, and representing motion.
